Microsoft Surface - New Face of Technology

MICROSOFT SURFACE

Microsoft - the very name strikes about it being a Software company which changed the world with its operating systems, Servers, Different Technologies etc…. Now, in this post millennium, Microsoft has come up with different new varieties of operating systems and Technologies. Lately we also have seen Microsoft changing its trend of being a Global Software Company to Hardware Company. This transformation is the result of different products like XBOX, ZUNE and now SURFACE.

Microsoft Surface - The new face of Technology revolution which started way back in 2001 (again post Millennium) by Steve Bathiche and Andy Wilson started working on concepts of Interactive table. By early 2003 this led to the making of first prototype model using the IKEA table was born and this was the start of Surface Computing. Later several researches have been done and they came up with 37 different prototypes which can be used in our daily lives on a regular basis.
Consider using a computer as a 30 inch table where we can put anything and do anything we want. Like using them as Tables in restaurants, household, retail locations, Casinos, resorts… it’s simply like where ever you use a table u can use this. Let’s dig deeper into what this surface computing is all about….

Early days children use to use small tables which have sheets of paper attached to it and they can sit and draw their imagination into drawings, and play games and other things on that table. This very concept has let to the designing of Microsoft Surface. These concepts are so strong that now with the mere touch on the table you can do wonders. Say you have a camera with photos in it. Just place it on the surface. It will recognize the camera and it will display all the pictures in it around the camera. Place a phone on the table it will get you all the details you want from it or into it just by drag and drop. Drag and Drop concept is widely used by Microsoft in most of its technologies lately.
What ever might be the Big daddy of all is showing its true power slowly and steadily by venturing into a new jungle altogether. I wish them Luck and success in their innovations.

Journey to Matheran

Matheran was discovered by Hugh Poyntz Malet, the then district collector of Thane district in May 1850. Lord Elphinstone, the then Governor of Bombay laid the foundations of the development as a future hill station. The British developed Matheran as a popular resort to beat the summer heat in the region.

Matheran is connected to the town of Neral which lies at the base of the hills. A badly maintained road connects Neral to Dasturi Naka which is 11 km (6.8 miles) from Matheran. In order to maintain Matheran's uniqueness, no vehicles are allowed beyond this point. The other mode of transport is a 2-ft (610-mm) narrow-gauge railway, which links the town to Neral. Neral also has a broad gauge station which is on the busy Mumbai-Pune route. The Matheran Hill Railway was built in 1907 by Sir Adamjee Peerbhoy and covers a distance of 20 km (12.4 miles), over large swathes of forest territory. Matheran has been declared an ecosensitive region by the Union Environment Ministry. The main form of transport within Matheran are horses and hand-pulled rickshaws.

Matheran lying in an elevated region, it enjoys a cooler and less humid climate which makes it popular during the summer months. Temperatures range from 32 °C (90 °F) to 16 °C (61 °F). Matheran has a huge number of medicinal plants and herbs. The town also has a large monkey population, of both the red-faced and black-faced breeds. The nearby Lake Charlotte is the main source of Matheran's drinking water.

Men Vs Women

Men are a rational species. We are socialize to think rather than to get emotional. Unlike women who tend to be raised on Barbie & dollhouse. We are raised on sports like soccer, badminton & basketball. As a result men tend to see things as black & white, win or lose, like a ball game! While women tend to be better at working in teams & cooperation.

Men tend to see things as a definitive! There is an absolute perspective of an issue. Men tend to be more firm on their answers, believes & positions. Men tend to seek for solutions rather than talking about the problem. A lot of men find talking aimlessly about a problem is in reality POINTLESS. Men enjoy using a mathematical approach when conversing e.g 1+1must be =2. We like to make a POINT, rather than talking about the scenario over & over again.
Communicating.....

In essence man are a much simpler mammals than women are. We tend to be somewhat straightforward in our approach to communication. Women are so complex in their approach.

For illustration purposes:

Man: Honey. I have to go out, do you need anything?
Woman: AGAIN?!

Man: Why? Do you mind if I go out?
Woman: No!

Man: OK! Bye….
Woman: It’s just that you’ve been going out quite often.

Man: OK? Than I’ll stay at home to accompany you. (Smiles)
Woman: No! No! I want you to go out & enjoy yourself. (This is the classic trap, the woman is actually saying something she doesn’t mean here)

Man: OK than I’ll be going…….
Woman: FINE! (Angry)

Man: Are you angry with me?
Woman: NO! GO!

Man: If you want I can stay!
Woman: NO! GO! GO HAVE FUN WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

Unlike women, men do not talk in riddles! In this instance the woman should have been direct in her approach. If she wanted the guy to stay all she had to do was to SAY IT! If she wanted the guy to go all she had to do was to SAY IT!

There is an absolute answer that in my humble opinion could have saved a lot of unnecessary conflicts in this scenario. So a piece of advice to the all ladies listening, throw caution to the wind & get to the POINT when conversing with the opposite sex. It would be much easier to understand our conversation style than it is for us to understand yours.
